SPRING EXHIBITION THURSDAY NIGHT!
The sixth graders are so excited to show off their hard work!
In Room 105 you will be privy to the world of ancient Greece. Please wander through our agora and view the city-state created by the sixth graders. Also take a moment to see your child's writing (hanging on the walls) and their reading log (in the binders on the bookshelf).
In Room 106 your child will be able to explain their agriculture experiments and show you their "Bike To School" projects. They can also tell you about their stock market investments!

Middle School Sex Education Information
Ms. Pfefferlen sent home information earlier this week about the topics that will be covered for sixth grade, state mandated Sex Education. Mrs. Jill Davis and Ms. Williams will be sharing instruction next Friday, May 27th, during their Math/Science class periods.
Relay for Life was a HUGE Success!
Thank you so much to all the parents and students that helped organize, walk, spend the night, and raise funds! With your help, the 6th graders raised over $5,000! WOW! This is a huge accomplishment, and we sincerely hope that all those involved take a moment to realize all of the good that they helped bring about. Relay for Life is about raising money to help fight cancer, but it is also about coming together as a community to support and recognize loved ones and friends.
An extra shout out to our parent organizers, Mrs. Rizqallah, Mrs. Pickens, Mrs. Rubio, and Mrs. Frisby. Thank you for taking the lead on this. We could not have done this without you.
Make sure to check this week's MORGAN HILL TIMES! We made the front page!

Classroom Updates
In between all of the state testing that has taken place this week, the students have worked hard at transforming room 105 into a Greek agora and theater. They have planned presentations for next week along with a day shopping the agora, class Olympics, and a Greek feast.
The bankers have determined how much money should be distributed to the students based on goods and services available for purchase. Like in all the societies that we have studied this year, there will be a disparity in wealth distribution with some workers earning more than others. While at the agora, students may purchase food, pottery, war shields, god and goddess trading cards; visit the doctor, visit the oracle, and attend a seminar session with a philosopher. Students that attend a seminar will receive a diploma to bump up their earnings. In addition to learning about ancient Greece, they are also getting a taste of creating a real world economy.
